Monthly Recap: April

Team Update.

April was a busy month for Force 7 Sailing! Our team took a break for the first two weeks to allow students the opportunity to focus on their final exams. As students began to complete their finals, our team got straight to work!

Team lead Finley flew to Newfoundland to join the MUN Students in their efforts to finish our hull. Our build team spent the last two weeks refining our mold, building bulkheads and preparing for our female mold. With the majority of our Memorial University students leaving the province for their summer internships, team leads Linus and Finley drove our mold from Memorial University to Dalhousie University to allow the Dalhousie build team the opportunity to finish the hull and continue progress on our moth.

Our Finance and Logistics teams worked together to plan and book the transportation of our mold, ensuring the trip ran smoothly and our build remained safe!

Our logistics and media team worked together to release the first edition of the Force 7 Sailing quarterly report, which can be found on our LinkedIn profile.

Our Media team has been working hard to prepare for our upcoming events. Join Force 7 Sailing team members at the Student Design Hub (SDH) Team Spotlight on May 1, 2:30-4:30 pm at the Engineering Building (EN1040). Further, our team will be presenting at the Mari-tech 2024 conference in St. John's, NL May 15 at 1:00 pm. We hope to see you there!

As the summer semester approaches, we wish our students returning to classes and internships luck and are excited for what's to come.
