Monthly Recap: March

Team Update.

March was a very exciting month in our team's journey. With the school term coming to an end, and a break before finals, our students have been working hard to bring this project together.

With basalt fiber in hand, our Build team has been hard at work. In collaboration with the National Research Council (NRC), we machined a mold of our hull out of recycled foam. Once transporting this mold back to Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), we layed Basalt Fiber over the foam, in order to create the final shape of our boat's hull. This is a massive step forwards for our team. Our Design team is always working on the next steps of the project. While students at MUN are busy with the build, our Dalhousie Design team students are working hard on completing the foil control systems.

Our Finance and Logistics teams have been continuously reaching out to potential sponsors and networking. The logistics team is also working together to sort through the details for transporting our moth from Newfoundland to Halifax!

As the semester comes to an end and with the air/water temperature warming, we are hoping to have a boat brought to Halifax by the end of next month. Big things on the horizon for Force 7 Sailing!
